ALTERNATE UNIVERSES.

AU: MUNDANE & MODERN ☾, where tifa is a college drop out trying to hold a coffee shop together, or something similar.

AU: MODERN ☾, staying closely to tifa's canonical backstory and making her some kind of revolutionary involved in modern day tech or ex-military, etc.

AU: REINCARNATION ☾ feeding into the above, an au where tifa remembers ffvii canon while in a modern day city.

AU: TIME LOOP ☾ tifa or your character is trying to prevent something terrible. one of them remembers everything, the other remembers nothing.

AU: HIGH FANTASY ☾ i love political intrigue of any kind, but medieval stuff pings me the most! lord of the rings, eragorn, game of thrones— whatever tickles your fancy. tifa's either a knight or some kind of ranger trying to stop the end of the world; let's talk about it.

AU: URBAN FANTASY ☾ witches, werewolves, vampires, but in the big city. or small city! tifa as a vampire sounds like a lot of fun to me, but i'm willing to work with you. optionally, Devil May Cry au.

AU: HEAVEN&HELL ☾ angels and demons, possibly with witch-y stuff or without. tifa's a demon your character summoned, your character is a demon she accidentally summoned, a demon and an angel fall in love... talk to me, what's your poison!

AU: SURVIVAL HORROR ☾ Silent Hill, Resident Evil, etc. tifa's searching for cloud and finds herself in the rust world instead, or she's fighting off zombies (or the mold, or insect vampires, or... whatever re has now) and trying to save the world. generic survival horror scenarios apply, i am very flexible. she's always trying to protect everyone else before herself, though

AU: ROLESWAP ☾ tifa is a "ex-SOLDIER" or part of shinra in some way, trying to change things from the inside while also coming to grips with the weight of her actions. comes with a possible side of full roleswap with cloud, or aerith, or yuffie, or vincent, or, like. anyone, really. hmu.

AU: GHOSTS ☾ one is dead, the other is not. they try to make it work.

AU: FINAL FANTASY X ☾ no one does it like tidus and yuna to this day. tifa as a guardian, going full tragic romance.

AU: MYTHOS ☾ tifa as a mythological figure, goddess or not. can double as a Hades au.

TREASURE HUNTING ☾ can double as a modern au with Tomb Raider inspo. adventuring into the world, in search of an ancient artefact— bonus points for genre awareness.

FAKE DATING/FAKE MARRIED ☾ our heroes (or villains, i suppose) have to pretend to be a couple for whatever reason.

POST-ACC / TEN YEARS LATER ☾ timeskips, or just post advent children.
